‘Isa bin Talhah says that I was with Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) when the muezzin came to call him for prayer. Upon this, Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that on the Day of Resurrection, the necks of the muezzins will be the longest.
