Mukhtasar Muslim

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if you did not commit sins, Allah would surely do away with you and bring forth a people who would commit sins and then seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would forgive them. (Subhan Allah! How excellent it is to admit faults before the Master, to apologize, to repent, and to seek forgiveness, and how beloved it is to the Master. A pious elder said: Blessed is the sin after which forgiveness is sought, and cursed is the worship that leads to arrogance.)
