Repentance, Its Acceptance, and Allah's Mercy
Repentance is accepted before the sun rises from the west.
Hadith 1920

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever repents before the sun rises from the west, Allah will forgive him. (After the sun rises from the west, repentance will not be accepted, and likewise, repentance will not be accepted at the time of seeing the angels of death, nor will his will be executed.)
