Mukhtasar Muslim

Ibn Shihab narrates: And he was mentioning the dwellings of the people of Thamud, which is called Hijr, and said that Salim bin Abdullah said that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: We passed by Hijr with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: Do not enter the dwellings of those who wronged themselves except while weeping, and beware lest there befall you what befell them. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) urged his mount forward and hastened until Hijr was left behind.
