Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, "Indeed, Satan has despaired of being worshipped by those who pray in the Arabian Peninsula (as he was worshipped in the days of ignorance), but he is hopeful that he will incite discord among them (i.e., he will provoke them to fight among themselves)."
