Hadith 1775

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not envy one another, do not artificially raise prices, do not harbor enmity against one another, and none of you should make a sale over the sale of his brother. And be, O servants of Allah, brothers to one another. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim: he does not wrong him, nor does he humiliate him, nor does he look down upon him. Piety and righteousness are here—and he (peace be upon him) pointed to his chest three times (meaning, a person is not truly pious by outward good deeds until his heart is pure). It is enough evil for a man to hold his Muslim brother in contempt. All things of a Muslim are forbidden for another Muslim: his blood, his wealth, and his honor.
