Hadith 1744

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Just as some mines are of gold and some of iron, likewise people are also different; some have noble lineage and origin, some are good and some are bad.) You will find people like mines. So those who were better in the time of ignorance are better in Islam as well, when they gain understanding in religion. And you will find the best among you is the one who used to hate Islam the most before becoming Muslim (meaning, the one who was strong in disbelief, after accepting Islam, will be equally strong in Islam, like Sayyiduna Umar and Sayyiduna Khalid bin Walid, may Allah be pleased with them, etc., or it means that the one who dislikes leadership, his leadership will be the best). And you will find the worst among you is the one who is two-faced, who comes to some people with one face and goes to others with another face.
