Mukhtasar Muslim

Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I came to Sayyiduna ‘Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said to me: The very first charity that brightened the faces of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions (meaning, made them happy) was the charity of the (tribe of) Tayy. (And he said:) That charity was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) by you (meaning, ‘Adi bin Hatim).
