Mukhtasar Muslim

´Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that´ Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) after the passing of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "Come with us to visit Umm Ayman, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to visit her." When we reached her, she began to weep. Both companions said to her, "Why are you weeping? Whatever is with Allah, the Majestic and Glorious, for His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is better for him." Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "I do not weep because I am unaware of this, but I weep because the revelation from the sky has now ceased." Upon her saying this, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) also began to weep, and so they wept along with her.
