Abu Uthman narrates from Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: If you can, do not be the first to enter the market, nor the last to leave it, because the market is the battlefield of Satan and it is there that he plants his flag. He said: I was informed that Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while Umm al-Mu'mineen Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) was with him. Jibreel (peace be upon him) began talking to him, then stood up (i.e., left). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her: Who was this man? She said: That was Dihyah Kalbi. Umm al-Mu'mineen Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: By Allah, we thought it was Dihyah Kalbi, until I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) giving a sermon, in which he informed us about it. I (the narrator of the hadith) said: I asked Abu Uthman, from whom did you hear this hadith? He replied: From Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him).
