‘Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to his wives): “The one among you who will meet me first (after death) is the one whose hand is the longest.” So all the noble wives measured their hands to find out whose hand was the longest. Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) said that among all of us, the hands of Sayyida Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) were the longest, because she used to work with her hands and give charity.
