Hadith 1632

`Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that` he (peace be upon him) said: I was sleeping and I saw myself in Paradise. There, a woman was performing ablution in the corner of a palace. I asked, "Whose palace is this?" (The angels) replied, "It is Umar bin Khattab's." Upon hearing this, I remembered his sense of honor, so I turned away and left. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) heard this, he began to weep, and we were all in the gathering with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "May my parents be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah! Would I be jealous of you?"
