Hadith 1533

Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were one hundred and thirty men with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Does anyone have any food?" A man produced a sa’ of grain, or a little less or more. Then all of it was kneaded. Then a polytheist came, his hair disheveled, driving some goats, and he reached the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Are you selling (the goat) or giving it as a gift?" He said, "No, I am selling it." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) bought a goat from him, and its meat was prepared, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered its liver to be roasted. The narrator said: By Allah, there was not a single one among those one hundred and thirty men for whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not separate some of that liver; if he was present, he gave it to him, and if he was not present, he set aside his share. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took out meat in two bowls, then all of us ate from them and were satisfied, and in fact, some was left in the bowls, which I loaded onto a camel, or he said something similar. (In this hadith, there are two miracles of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): one is the blessing in the liver, and the other is the blessing in the goat.)
