Mukhtasar Muslim

´Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "The evil eye is real (that is, it has an effect by the command of Allah Almighty), and if anything could overtake destiny, it would be the evil eye (but nothing can overtake destiny). When you are asked to perform ghusl (ritual washing), then perform ghusl. (Because if someone is afflicted by the evil eye, and the person who cast the evil eye performs ghusl and its water is used to wash the afflicted person, then he is cured.)"
