Aswad says: I asked Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) about ruqyah (spiritual healing), so she said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had permitted the people of one house among the Ansar to perform ruqyah for poison (such as from snake or scorpion bites).
