Hadith 1427

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Waqid Al-Laithi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sitting in the mosque and people were with him, when three men came. Two of them came straight to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and one went away. Of the two who came, one found a vacant spot in the gathering and sat there, and the other sat behind the people, and the third turned away and left. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished, he said: "Shall I not tell you about these three men? One sought refuge with Allah, so Allah gave him refuge; the second felt shy (to push in among the people), so Allah was shy with him; and the third turned away, so Allah turned away from him."
