Mukhtasar Muslim

Muhammad bin Umar bin Ata says: I named my daughter Barrah, so Zainab bint Abi Salamah said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade this name, and my name was also Barrah. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Do not praise yourselves, for Allah knows best who among you is better. The people asked: Then what should we name her? He (peace be upon him) said: Name her Zainab.
