It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that one of Sayyiduna Umar’s (may Allah be pleased with him) daughters was named Asiyah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) changed her name to Jameelah.
