Lady Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! My daughter has become a bride and due to measles her hair has fallen out, so may I attach something to her hair? (i.e., artificial hair or similar items available in the market)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Allah has cursed the one who attaches (false hair) and the one who has it attached."
