Mukhtasar Muslim

It is narrated from Hammam that Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) urinated, then performed ablution and wiped over his socks. The people said, "Do you do this?" He replied, "Yes, I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) urinate, then perform ablution and wipe over both his socks." A’mash said that Ibrahim said, "This hadith was very pleasing to the people because Jarir became Muslim after Surah Al-Ma'idah (in which washing the feet in ablution is mentioned) was revealed."
