Mukhtasar Muslim

Sayyiduna Jundub bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I participated in Eid al-Adha with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) had not done anything except that he led the (Eid) prayer. When he finished the prayer and completed the salam, suddenly he saw a sacrificial goat that had been slaughtered before the prayer. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever offered the sacrifice before the Eid prayer, let him offer another sacrifice in its place, and whoever has not yet offered the sacrifice, let him slaughter the sacrifice in the name of Allah.
