Mukhtasar Muslim

`Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says that` a slave woman of Umm al-Mu'mineen Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) was given a goat in charity, and it died. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw it lying there and said: Why did you not remove its skin? You could have tanned it and used it. So the people said: O Messenger of Allah! It was dead. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Eating the dead animal is forbidden.
