`Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that` he (peace be upon him) said: The expiation for a vow is the same as the expiation for an oath. (That is, feeding ten needy people, or clothing ten needy people, or freeing a slave. If one is unable to do these, then fast for three days.)
