`Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says that` if I had not heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that do not wish for death, I would have wished for it (i.e., for death).
Hadith 2211
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "None of you should wish for death, for if he is righteous, it is hoped that his good deeds will increase, and if he is sinful, it is hoped that he will refrain from his sins and repent."
