Hadith 2201
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, "If Allah appoints a servant as a ruler over a people, and he does not look after them with sincerity and goodwill, he will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever is appointed as a ruler over Muslim subjects and then dies while acting dishonestly towards them, Allah will make Paradise forbidden for him."
