Hadith 2166
Sayyiduna Abu Burdah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "(In discretionary punishment) do not strike more than ten lashes except in the limits set by Allah (which He has prescribed in the Qur'an and Hadith)."
