`Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) said that` the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The example of the one who remembers Allah and the one who does not remember Him is like that of the living and the dead. (That is, the one who remembers is alive and the one who does not remember is like the dead.)"

Hadith 2090
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are some angels of Allah who roam the roads seeking those who remember Allah. When they find people remembering Allah, they call out to their fellow angels, 'Come here, your objective has been achieved (i.e., those who remember Allah have been found).'"
He further said: "These angels cover those people with their wings (and) reach up to the lowest heaven (layer upon layer). Allah, although He knows best, asks them, 'What are My servants saying?' The angels reply, '(O Allah!) They are glorifying, magnifying, praising, and exalting You.' Allah says, '(O angels!) Have they seen Me?' The angels say, 'No, by Allah! They have not seen You.' Allah says, 'If they had seen Me, what would have happened?' The angels say, 'If they had seen You, they would have praised, glorified, and exalted You even more intensely.'"
(The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:) "Then Allah says, '(O angels!) What do they ask of Me?' The angels say, 'They ask You for Paradise.' Allah says, 'Have they seen Paradise?' (those who seek it) The angels say, 'No, they have not seen it.' Allah says, 'If they had seen it, what would have happened?' The angels say, 'If they had seen it, they would have desired it even more intensely.' Then Allah asks the angels, 'From what do they seek refuge?' The angels say, 'They seek refuge from Hell.' Allah says, 'Have they seen Hell?' The angels say, 'No.' Allah says, 'If they had seen it, what would have happened?' The angels say, 'If they had seen it, they would have fled from it and feared it even more intensely.' Then Allah says, '(O angels!) I make you witnesses that I have forgiven these people.' Then one of the angels says, 'Among these people who remember (Allah), there is a man who is not one of them, but came there for some need.' Allah says, 'They are such people that even their companion is not deprived (of forgiveness).'"
