Hadith 2037
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "All of my Ummah will be forgiven except those who commit sins openly. And the matter of openly committing is that a person does some sinful act at night, and in the morning, although Allah had concealed it, he goes around saying (to people), 'O so-and-so! I did such-and-such last night,' even though his Lord had concealed it for him at night, but in the morning he removes Allah's covering from himself."
