Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Allah divided mercy into one hundred parts. He kept ninety-nine parts with Himself and sent down one part to the earth. Because of this one part, all creatures show mercy to one another, so much so that a mare lifts its hoof away from its young lest it should harm it."
