Hadith 1908
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him): When the dining cloth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was removed, he (peace be upon him) used to recite: "All praise is for Allah alone, abundant praise, pure thanks, full of blessings. We could not fully fulfill the right of this food, nor has it been taken away from us forever (and this is done so that) we do not become heedless of it. O our Lord!"
Hadith 1909
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) finished eating, he would say: "All praise is due to Allah who has given us food and drink to our fill. We could not fully fulfill the right of this food, nor do we deny this blessing."
