Hadith 1828
´Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that` three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to ask about the worship of the Prophet (peace be upon him). When it was described to them, they considered his worship to be little (that is, they considered it insufficient for themselves). Then they said, "What comparison do we have with the Prophet (peace be upon him)? All his past and future sins have been forgiven." One of them said, "I will pray all night." The second said, "I will fast continuously." The third said, "I will not marry (that is, I will stay away from women)." Meanwhile, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came and said: "Did you say such and such things? Listen! I am the one among you who fears Allah the most and is most mindful of His rights, but I fast and I break my fast, I pray (at night) and I sleep, and I also marry women. (Beware!) Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not from me."
