Mukhtasar Bukhari

A person asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the turmoil and fighting that is happening these days, what do you say about it? He replied, "Do you know what is meant by turmoil (fitnah)? In reality, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fight against the polytheists, and if any Muslim went to the polytheists, he would fall into turmoil. And they did not fight for the kingdom (sovereignty) like you do, rather they fought purely for the religion."
