Hadith 1720
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, Nuh (peace be upon him) will be called. He will say, 'I am present, O my Lord, I will obey Your command.' Allah Almighty will say, 'Did you convey Our commands to the people?' He will say, 'Yes.' Then his nation will be asked, 'Did Nuh (peace be upon him) convey My command to you (or not)?' They will say, 'No warner (prophet) came to us.' Nuh (peace be upon him) will be asked, 'Do you have any witness?' He will say, 'Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his ummah are witnesses.' Then the people of this ummah will bear witness that Nuh (peace be upon him) conveyed Allah's message to his nation, and the Prophet (Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) will be a witness over you." Thus, the meaning of Allah Almighty's saying is: "And thus We have made you a just community so that you may be witnesses over the people and the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) may be a witness over you."
