Mukhtasar Bukhari

Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that Allah benefited me during the days (of the Battle) of Jamal with something I had heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), otherwise I was close to joining the people of Jamal and fighting. He said that the thing was: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) received the news that the people of Persia had appointed the daughter of Chosroes (Boran bint Kisra) as their ruler, he said: "A nation that appoints a woman as its ruler will never prosper."
