Hadith 1691
Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We, the Ash‘ari group, came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked him for mounts. He (peace be upon him) refused us. We asked him again for mounts, and he (peace be upon him) swore an oath that he would not give us mounts. Then, shortly after, some camels from the spoils of war came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he (peace be upon him) ordered that five camels be given to us. When we took those camels, we said: Since we did not remind the Prophet (peace be upon him) of his oath, we will never prosper now. Then I went to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! You swore an oath that you would not give us mounts, but then you gave us mounts. The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: “Yes! I remembered my oath, but if I swear an oath to do something and then I see something else better, I do that which is better and I offer expiation for my oath.”

Hadith 1692
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "(O people!) The people of Yemen have come to you who are tender-hearted and soft-hearted. Faith is (excellent) from Yemen and wisdom is also good from Yemen. Pride and arrogance are among the camel owners, and calmness and gentleness are among the sheep owners."
