Hadith 1668
Umm al-Mu’minin Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to my house, and at that time a eunuch was sitting with me. I heard him saying to Abdullah bin Abi Umayyah: “O Abdullah! If tomorrow Allah grants victory over Ta’if, then take the daughter of Ghailan, because (she is so fat that) when she comes from the front, (there are) four folds in her belly, and when she turns her back, (there are) eight.” (Upon hearing this) the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “These eunuchs must never come to you (O Umm Salamah!) again.”

Hadith 1669
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) laid siege to Ta’if and did not inflict any loss upon them (rather, the Muslims themselves suffered losses), finally the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “InshaAllah, (now) we will return to Madinah.” This was hard on the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and they said, “How can we return without victory?” Once, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “We will return.” Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “(Alright) fight tomorrow morning.” In the morning, they all fought and were wounded. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Tomorrow, InshaAllah, we will return.” At that time, this was pleasing to them. So the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) smiled.

Hadith 1671
And in another narration, one of these two (narrators) is (Sayyiduna Sa’d, may Allah be pleased with him), who was the first to shoot an arrow in the way of Allah, and the other (Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah, may Allah be pleased with him) was the twenty-third person among those who descended from the fortress of Ta’if and came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Hadith 1672
´Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) says that` I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he was staying at Ji‘irrana, which is a place between Makkah and Madinah, and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was also with him. A Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, “Will you not fulfill the promise you made to me?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: “Glad tidings of a great reward are for you.” (Rejoice!) He replied, “You often say this: rejoice (should I wear this glad tiding or spread it out?)” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to Abu Musa and Bilal (may Allah be pleased with them both) in a state of anger and said: “This Bedouin did not accept the glad tidings, you both accept it.” They both said, “We accept.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked for a bowl of water, washed his hands and face in it, and rinsed his mouth in it, then said: “Drink from it, and pour it over your faces and chests, and rejoice.” Both of them took it and did so. Umm al-Mu’minin Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) called out from behind the curtain, “Leave some for your mother as well.” They saved some water and gave it to her too.

Hadith 1673
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered the Ansar and said: "The people of Quraysh have just come out of the hardships of ignorance and the calamities of killing and captivity, so I wish to give them some of the spoils of war to help and console them. Are you not pleased that people take the world and you take the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to your homes?" They replied, "Yes, we are pleased." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If other people walk in a valley and the Ansar walk in a mountain pass, I will also choose the valley or mountain pass of the Ansar."
