Hadith 1660
´Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that` the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out from Madinah in the month of Ramadan with ten thousand companions (towards Makkah), and this incident took place eight and a half years after his arrival in Madinah. When the Muslims and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out towards Makkah, some companions along with him continued to fast. When they reached the place of Kudayd, which is a spring between ‘Usfan and Qudayd, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions broke their fast. (They did iftar.)

Hadith 1661
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set out towards Hunain in the month of Ramadan. The people with him were not all in the same condition; some were fasting and some were not. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mounted his ride, he asked for a vessel of water or milk, placed it on his palm or on the mount, and then drank it. Then he looked towards the people, and those who had not broken their fast, he said to the fasting ones: "You also break your fast (because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has broken his fast)."
