Hadith 1565
´Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by a gathering of the Ansar, and those people were weeping. (Sayyiduna Abu Bakr or Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "Why are you weeping?" They replied, "We remembered the sitting of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with us." (At that time, the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was suffering from his final illness.) So they came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him about the condition of the Ansar. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then came out, and at that time he had tied the edge of a sheet on his head. Then he ascended the pulpit, and after that day he was not able to ascend (the pulpit again, meaning he passed away). Then he praised and glorified Allah, and then said: "I advise you regarding the Ansar (to treat them well), indeed they are my close ones and confidants. They have fulfilled the right that was due from them, now their right (to attain Paradise) remains. So accept their good deeds and overlook their faults."

Hadith 1566
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out with his shoulders covered with a sheet and his head tied with a strip of smooth cloth, until he sat on the pulpit. He praised and glorified Allah, then said: "O people! Indeed, (other) people will become numerous and the Ansar will become fewer, until they remain like the amount of salt in food. So whoever among you attains such authority that he can benefit or harm, he should accept the good and virtue of the Ansar and overlook their faults."
