Hadith 1457
When it reached Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this hadith that soon the king of the Arabs will be a Qahtani, Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) became angry upon hearing this and stood up to deliver a sermon. First, he praised Allah as He deserves to be praised, then said: "To proceed! It has reached me that some of you narrate such ahadith whose chain does not originate from the Book of Allah nor are they transmitted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So these people are ignorant; beware of them and their ideas, the very ideas that have led them astray. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: This caliphate and leadership will remain among the Quraysh. Whoever opposes them, Allah will throw him down (overturn him), as long as (the Quraysh) uphold the religion and the Shari'ah."

Hadith 1460
Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I and Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and submitted: You have given (the share of near relatives) to Banu Muttalib, while we (Banu Umayyah) and Banu Muttalib have the same relationship with you. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “That is true, but Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib have always been together as one.”
