Hadith 1399
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Allah Almighty created Adam (peace be upon him) sixty cubits tall, then He said: 'Go! Greet that group of angels and listen to what they reply to you, for that will be your greeting and the greeting of your descendants.' Adam (peace be upon him) said: 'As-salamu alaikum (peace be upon you).' They replied: 'As-salamu alaika wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah).' They added the words 'wa rahmatullah.' So all those who enter Paradise on the Day of Resurrection will be in the form (beauty and stature) of Adam (peace be upon him). (After Adam) the stature of people has been decreasing up to now."

Hadith 1400
`Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that` Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a Jewish scholar, heard the news of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) arriving in Madinah. So he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "I will ask you three things which only a Prophet can know: (1) What is the first sign of the Hour (Day of Judgment)? (2) What will be the first food the people of Paradise will eat when they enter Paradise? (3) Why does a child resemble his father, and likewise, why does he resemble his maternal relatives?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Just now Jibreel (Gabriel, peace be upon him) has informed me of these matters." So Abdullah said, "He (Jibreel) is the enemy of the Jews among all the angels." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The first sign of the Hour will be a fire that will drive people from the East to the West, and the first food the people of Paradise will eat will be the caudate lobe of the fish liver. As for the resemblance of a child, when a man has intercourse with a woman, if the man's fluid prevails, the child will resemble the father, and if the woman's fluid prevails, the child will resemble her side (maternal relatives)." Upon hearing this, Abdullah bin Salam said, "I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah." Then he said, "O Messenger of Allah! The Jews are a very deceitful people. If they find out before you ask them that I have become Muslim, they will call me a liar (and speak ill of me). (They will never praise me.)" The Jews came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Abdullah bin Salam went into a small room. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked them, "What kind of man is Abdullah bin Salam among you?" They said, "Abdullah bin Salam is a scholar and the son of a scholar, the best among us and the son of the best among us." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If Abdullah becomes Muslim (will you also become Muslim)?" They said, "May Allah protect him from that (becoming Muslim)." Then Abdullah came out of the room and said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." At that moment, the Jews began to say, "You are the worst among us and the son of the worst among us," and they began to speak ill of him.

Narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The person who will have the lightest punishment in Hell, Allah Almighty will ask him: If you had the wealth equal to the whole earth at this moment, would you give it to free yourself? He will say: Certainly. Allah Almighty will say: I had asked you for something much easier than this when you were in the loins of Adam, that you should not associate anyone with Me, but you did not accept and persisted in shirk."
