Mukhtasar Bukhari

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he (once said to the people): "What will be your condition when you will not receive even a single gold coin or a single rupee from the income of jizya?" Someone asked, "O Abu Hurairah! What do you think, how will this happen?" He said, "Yes! By Him in whose hand is the life of Abu Hurairah, (I know this) from the saying of the Truthful and Trusted (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him)." People asked, "For what reason will this happen?" He said, "The sanctity of the covenant of Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) will be violated (Muslims will act deceitfully), so Allah Almighty will strengthen the hearts of the dhimmis and they will not pay the jizya."
