Hadith 1305
Narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "The day of Thursday, oh the day of Thursday." Then he began to weep, and wept so much that the pebbles of the ground became wet. Then he said: "On Thursday, the illness of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) intensified, so he said: 'Bring me something to write with, so that I may write for you a document after which you will never go astray.' But the people differed, although it is not appropriate to differ in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then the people said that (the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is) talking deliriously due to the severity of his illness. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Leave me, for the state I am in is better than what you are calling me to.' And at the time of his death, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made three bequests: (1) That the polytheists should be expelled from the Arabian Peninsula; (2) and that ambassadors should be treated as I used to treat them; and the third matter, I forgot."
