Hadith 1276
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on some occasions during jihad, in which there was confrontation with the enemy, delayed the battle. When the sun had declined, he stood up and delivered a sermon and said: "O people! Do not wish to meet the enemy and ask Allah for well-being. But when you do confront the enemy, then be patient and know well that Paradise is under the shade of swords." After this he said: "O Allah! Revealer of the Book (Qur'an), Mover of the clouds, and Defeater of the confederates! Defeat them and grant us victory over them."
