Hadith 1246
Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not sleep one night during a journey, so when he reached Madinah, (he was overcome by sleep). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If only one of my righteous companions would guard me tonight.” Suddenly, we heard the sound of a weapon. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Who is it?” He replied, “Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas. I have come to guard you, O Messenger of Allah.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) slept.

Hadith 1247
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: “May the slave of the dirham, the dinar, and the cloak be destroyed; if he is given, he is pleased, and if he is not given, he is displeased. (Such a person) is destroyed and thrown down, and if a thorn pricks him, may no one remove it. Glad tidings to that servant who keeps the reins of his horse in his hand at all times for striving in the way of Allah; his head is covered with dust, his feet are covered with dust; if he is told to stand guard, he stands guard, and if he is appointed at the rear of the army for protection, he remains at the rear. (In short, he obeys whatever order he is given, and due to his poverty, he has no status among the people of the world, to the extent that) if he seeks permission (to visit someone), he is not granted permission, and if he intercedes (for someone), his intercession is not accepted.”
