Hadith 1211
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sent some people from the tribe of Banu Sahm to the tribe of Banu Amir along with seventy men (as ambassadors). When they reached there, my maternal uncle (Haram bin Milhan) said to them, "I will go first. If they grant me security so that I can convey to them the message of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), (that is better); otherwise, stay close to me (and help me at the right time)." So he went ahead, and the disbelievers granted him security. While he was delivering the message of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to them, suddenly they signaled to one of their men, and he struck him with a spear and pierced him through. He said, "Allahu Akbar! By the Lord of the Ka'bah! I have succeeded (in my purpose)." After that, they turned towards his remaining companions and killed them, except for one lame man who climbed up a mountain and survived. Then Jibreel (peace be upon him) informed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that those people (who had been sent as ambassadors) had all met their Lord, and He is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. Then we used to recite this verse in the Qur'an: "Convey to our people that we have met our Lord, and He is pleased with us, and has made us pleased." After that, this verse was abrogated. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) invoked curses for forty days upon the people of Ril, Dhakwan, Banu Lihyan, and Banu Usayyah, who had disobeyed Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).

Hadith 1212
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jundub bin Sufyan, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was in a battle when his finger became wounded and bloodied. So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You are but a finger that has become bloodied, and this calamity you have borne is in the way of Allah."
