Hadith 1194
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for a Muslim who has something to bequeath to stay for two nights without having his will written with him."

Hadith 1195
Narrated Sayyiduna Amr bin Harith (the brother of the Mother of the Believers, Juwayriya bint Harith, may Allah be pleased with her, who was the sister-in-law of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him): The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at the time of his death, did not leave behind any dirham or dinar, nor any slave, nor any slave-girl, nor anything else except his white mule, his weapons, and a piece of land which he had given as charity.

Hadith 1196
It was asked from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made any bequest (wasiyyah)? He said: No. It was asked: Then how was bequest made obligatory or how was he commanded to make a bequest? He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made a bequest to act upon the Book of Allah.
