Hadith 1168
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were one hundred and thirty men with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "Does anyone among you have any food?" Then a person had about one sa’ of grain, etc., which was kneaded. After that, a tall, disheveled-haired polytheist came, driving his goats. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him: "Are these for sale or a gift from someone?" Or the Prophet (peace be upon him) used the word "hiba" instead of "gift." He said, "No, rather they are for sale." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) bought a goat from him, then it was slaughtered, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered that the liver, etc., be roasted. By Allah, there was not a single person among the one hundred and thirty men to whom the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not give pieces of liver. Whoever was present, he gave to him, and whoever was not present, he set aside for him. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) placed the meat of the goat in two large trays, so all the people ate and we were all satisfied, and still, whatever was left in the trays, we put it on the camel, or he said something similar.
