Hadith 1155
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that his maternal aunt Umm Hufaid sent the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) a gift of cheese, ghee, and sahna (a kind of animal). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ate the cheese and ghee, but left the sahna with aversion. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "But the sahna was eaten at the table of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). If it had been forbidden, how could it have been eaten at the table of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?"

Hadith 1156
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): Whenever any food was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he would ask about it: "Is it a gift or charity?" If it was said that it was charity, he (peace be upon him) would say to his companions (may Allah be pleased with them): "You eat," and he himself would not eat from it. But if it was said that it was a gift, he (peace be upon him) would extend his hand and eat with them.
