Hadith 1144
Narrated from Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) that he had freed one hundred slaves during the period of ignorance and had given one hundred camels to people for riding. Then, when he became a Muslim, he again gave one hundred camels to people for riding and freed one hundred slaves. Sayyiduna Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! Please tell me, I used to do some deeds in the period of ignorance and considered them acts of worship." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "You have embraced Islam along with all the acts of worship you have already performed." (That is, you will also get the reward for them.) This hadith has already been mentioned in the Book of Zakat.
