Hadith 1135
Narrated by Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: The example of the person who abides by Allah’s limits and the one who transgresses them is like a group of people who drew lots for their places in a boat. Some of them got seats in the upper part and some in the lower part. When those in the lower part needed water, they had to go to those above them. So they said, “If we were to make a hole in our part, we would not have to trouble those above us.” If the people above let them do what they intended, all would be destroyed; but if they stopped them, both they and all the others would be saved.
